Kiwis never fail to awe us with their cuteness, LawnMoa is an excuse to hang out with these little guys and help them have a better life.
Whether visiting Massey’s Wildbase Hospital in Palmerston North, admiring a LawnMoa kiwi sculpture in a garden, or hanging out with New Zealanders, kiwis are a pleasure to be around.
In 2014 LawnMoa started as a student company in a high school business competition, the Young Enterprise Scheme. The first three months of our venture were hectic. We had idea after idea, and could hardly settle on one. We wanted to recover from the time lost and so we decided to make something simple, beautiful and to support a local charity. At the time, Wildbase Hospital had been fundraising for a new wildlife hospital. LawnMoa stepped in and we decided to create kiwi garden art to support kiwis and other native birds around New Zealand. You can check out our 2014 efforts on our National Awards Blog Post.
Fast forward to 2017, LawnMoa is supporting the next generation of youth leaders and entrepreneurs by selling our sculptures to fundraise for leadership and Christian conferences. The youth leadership team, Jonathan included, from Life Church Palmerston North are fundraising to attend Arise Conference and the youth leaders summit the day before conference starts.
LawnMoa is the brainchild of Massey University student Jonathan Brandon. Jonathan also runs a digital marketing company, SearchMasters, helping businesses get found on Google with a technique called search engine optimisation.
Mission: LawnMoa aims to bring innovation to your garden with interactive garden sculptures in order to draw New Zealander’s hearts closer to our native wildlife.
