The Rustic Kiwi
The Rustic Kiwi appears silver when it begins life nestling in your garden. After rain falls and fog envelops, “feathers” of rust begin to appear on the kiwi. The process of rusting usually takes a couple of days, depending on the weather. I like to place the kiwi in a bucket of water over night to create a consistent look. A rustic kiwi has been in my garden since June, 2017. As of July 2017, it is still comfortably nestled and in good condition. The rust forms a layer of protection against new rust.
